Home Depot Veteran’s Discount – Home Depot offers and an ongoing 10% Veteran’s discount.

The Home Depot offers a year-round, 10 percent discount, up to a $500 maximum, at our U.S. stores to all active duty military personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families. We offer this discount to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe. Lowe’s established the 10% Military Discount to support the men and women who are currently serving our country in the Armed Services1 and to honor Retired Veterans and VA Recipients.2 This 10% discount is also extended to the immediate family3 of those who are currently serving, Retired Veterans, or VA Recipients.

Meineke Free Oil Change for Veteran’s Day - Monday, November 12, 2012 - On November 12, all retired military and active duty military can bring their vehicles into a participating Meineke Car Care Center and receive a FREE Basic oil change, normally priced at $24.95. Knott’s Berry Farm Military Discounts and Tribute Days – FREE admission for Veterans or current serving military personnel and one guest with proper I.D. presented at turnstile. Purchase up to six additional tickets for just $19 each from November 1-21 and for $25 each November 22 through January 6. Military personnel may also purchase additional tickets at their local MWR ticket office.

Honored guests are also invited to place a flower at Washington’s Tomb where the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Revolution present a wreathlaying ceremony in honor of our nation’s veterans. Special activities include a free patriotic community concert by the all-veteran barbershop chorus The Harmony Heritage Singers in the Robert H. & Clarice Smith Auditorium at 11:00 a.m.

Mount Vernon Salutes Veterans is included in regular Estate admission: adults, $15.00; children ages 6-11, $7.00; and children under 5 are admitted free.
