I met so many companies at BlogHer 2011 and I am really appreciative of all the information they gave me, but one is on my mind today. Vick’s threw a mixer to end all mixers. They had amazing food and a fantastic venue. The locations had not one but two bowling alleys. I was not expecting that, BUT more than that, I did not expect to find out about a new product they launched.

I have been sick for the past two weeks with some kind of flu bug. I am achy all over, stuff, and I cough so hard I can feel it all over. This is one terrible sickness. Instead of trying my brand new box of Vick’s Nature Fusion, I tried every thing else. I still could not breathe.

Last night, I decided to stop being stubborn and try the Nature’s Fusion. I have the pills, but what caught my attention in San Diego was that Nature’s Fusion was honey flavored and did not contain dyes. This is good because I can taste the different colors in the dyes. It sounds strange but I won’t eat colorful icing on cakes because the taste of the dye is overpowering. One of my son’s is the exact same way. I tend to have to give him medicine in pill form to avoid him gagging.

The pill itself tastes like honey. I was pleasantly surprised. When taking medicine, its no secret to anyone that you can taste the pill on your tongue before you swallow it. Its normally not a pleasant ordeal. This time was quite different. The results were quite different as well. For over a week now, I have been in agony and after taking two pills, I could breathe better and no longer felt achy. My cough subsided to the point to where I could sleep through the night.

When I awoke the next morning, I did not feel sluggish. Instead, I was still able to breathe and I did not feel sleep deprived. I am very blown away by the results of this medicine. I was even more blown away to notice that on the box it says gluten free. I do not require a gluten free diet, nor do my children but we have family members who must have gluten free food in their diet. I always think of the food but never gave thought to the medication that people with Celiac’s would ingest.  For a company to think of this is a HUGE plus in my book.

To sum it up, I think Vick’s hit a home run with Nature’s Fusion. On Sunday, the Procter and Gamble had the following coupons that can be used towards purchasing your own Nature’s Fusion:

  • $1/1 Vicks Products 8/28/2011 P&G Insert (exp 9/30/2011)
  • $3/2 Vicks Products 8/28/2011 P&G Insert (exp 9/30/2011)

Don’t forget, Walgreen’s has a coupon of their own to assist with the purchase of your own Nature’s Fusion product. This coupon can be used in addition to one of the manufacturer’s coupons listed above.

****I was NOT compensated in any way nor was I asked to do a review of this product. This product was given to me in a gift bag after attending a Meet and Greet Mixer provided by Vick’s. This does not sway my judgement in any way and all opinions stated are my own and not that of the makers of Vick’s products****
