Tuesdays Tasty Tidbits: Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients and Instructions:

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 6 tblspn b. powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Mix well with a fork. Add 8 tblspns of butter and stir with a fork until it looks like crumbs. Add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Add 2 cups of milk until dough is dense and sticky. Scoop dough into muffin pan. Bake at 400 degrees till done.

Poke each biscuit, several times with a toothpick. Brush biscuits with a garlic butter sauce.

Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • minced garlic or 2 tblspn of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • splash of white wine (I used Moscato)

Put all the ingredients in the pot as you melt the butter. Brush until all butter is done. This recipe makes 1 1/2 dozen muffin sized biscuits.
